Have you heard about the online linguistic search engine Ludwig? You may have if you study English, as this search engine is meant for helping language-learners. This story was on Techcrunch.
In Canada, a member of the Mohawk tribe translated a Dave Matthews song into Mohawk and taught it to the singer, in an effort to keep his language alive.

We took the wayback machine to 2013 this week, and reread a Reuters article about the diversity of languages spoken in China. As in the US, not all Chinese citizens speak the dominant language. (400 million of them can’t!)
